Gowanda looks like it straddles the border of Cattaraugus and Erie counties. Am I safe in assuming Valentine Flats Road is in Cattaraugus? Next question is, who would I write to for land records from 1830 give or take 5 years. I have a g-g-grandpa who had "68 acres on Valentine Flats Road near Point Peter". He was near Perrysburgh in 1830 and appears to be in Ohio by 1834.
