Josiah is the father of Walter L. Cheney. Josiah came from Chesterfield, NH to Livingston County, NY in 1820 and settled in Freedom, Cattaraugus County in 1823. Josiah married Harriet Scott and they had several children, one of which is my ggg - Walter L. Walter stayed in Freedom and married Frances Beebe. They had one son, Willie Train Cheney, who settled in Pike and married Catharine Healy. Willie and Catharine had 2 children, Walter and Marie (my grandmother). Willie owned a Shaving Parlor and Billiard and Pool Room in Fillmore, NY. I am still trying to get beyond Ebenezer to his parents. Please let me know if you have any info.
