Hi! Gowanda Psychiatric Center closed officially in 1994 when the state converted the institution into a State Correctional Facility. However most of the residents were gone by then(Thanks to Cuomo who put many on the streets). Records should be found at the Buffalo Psych. Hospital as already stated. I have even received employment records by contacting the Buff. Psy. Center. The lady who I spoke with was very helpful.
