    3. This is an obituary out of a scrapbook. The name of the paper is not known, it had been cut out and glued into this scrapbook. I am not related to the family, but wanted to post the information in case there is someone related, they can have the information. If you would like a copy of this page of the scrapbook, please email me. "Harvey Hammann was born in the town of Yorkshire, Cattaraugus County, New York, February 2nd, 1887. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hammann have been residents of this town for a good many years and Harvey was one of seven children, three boys and four girls. His boyhood was spent on Blue Hill where from a child he was well liked and made many friends who were his friends to the end. He has grown up among us where we have all had the privilege of knowing him and there is not one who can say he was guilty of one mean unkind act intentionally. All the way up from childhood he kept himself clean from bad habits and there was not one who knew that did not esteem him highly. A few years ago he came to Delevan and learned the cheesemakers trade at which he continued to work up to the time he was taken sick. Though his comparative brief illness everything was done for him which loving hands could accomplish or medical science could suggest but it was all in vain and on Sunday, September 6th, he quietly and peacefully laid aside lifes burdens and passed beyond that great divide where trouble is a thing forgotten. Besides his loving and kind perante he leaves five sisters and one brother, Addie and L. Ruth Hammann; Mrs. David Hayse; Mrs. Frank Hesley of this place and Mrs. Charles Folts of Springville, besides one brother Alfred Hammann of East Shelby, N. Y., his other brother died a little over a year ago. Too much cannot be said of Harvey's good qualities and stirling worth and his death has cast a shadow of gloom over the entire community."
