Morse died Monday morning, March 24th 1919, aged 72 years. He was one of ten children born to Samuel and Ruth Morse, all having preceded him to the Great Beyond except one sister, Mrs. Ellen Graham. On December 10, 1868 he was united in marriage to Alice Wilcox. They traveled life's path together a little more than fifty years, Mrs. Morse having passed away just 12 days before his death. His entire life was spent in the town of Yorkshire, living on the farm where he was born for sixty years. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him; a kind father and a good neighbor. He was be greatly missed. This sudden removal of both father and mother, in so short a time is a great sorrow to thos who mourn, but may we not hope that the presence of Him who said: : 'Lom U am with you always, even unto the end.' will in some measure repair the loss they have sustained. He leaves to mourn their loss, his three children, Mrs. Isaac Scribner, Mrs. Frank Quinn and John W. Morse, and the sister mentioned. The funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at 1 o'clock p. m., Rev. Mason of the Baptist church officiating. Internment in McKinstry cemetery."
