I think it is terrific that someone is posting obits and other items. My husband's family is from Freedom-Elton-Delevan-Yorkshire and the surrounding area. We search Browns-Converses-Hancocks and multiple others, living there from 1820 to 1900; we also know relatives way beyond that date. Little items like obituaries, telling who came, who is in the family, etc. are how you link people. A relative sent us an obituary from PA, and it led us to a family bible. A recent posting, about Janette Chaney (Cheney ?) is one I will have to search my files about. We have Cheneys and Browns; she may belong in some way; I also printed it for the cousin in PA and forwared to one in MN. Genealogy is a search. If someone posts and you don't like it, don't read it. I would be delighted if the old churches had ledgers - they often went with the pastors. This is not offensive material; if you don't want to read, delete. You may have lost a link to your past though. Judy schwanja723@aol.com
