D. Wilmot and claimed their eldest son, Allen E. after he he had been ill about four weeks. He came home from Buffalo Mar. 6th, where he was a studen in the University of Buffalo, having entered that institution last September. He has not been feeling well for a week before he came hom, and his illness proved to be typhoid fever in a mild form. He was recovering from this, when a secondary meningitis developed, and from that he grew steadily worse until he died. He was born in Centerville, N. Y., May 6th, 1887. About seven years ago, the family moved to this place from Arcade and have resided here since. Allen graduated from Delevan High School in the class of '04, and from the teachers training class in '05. After this, he taught school part of the time, he took post graduate work in the High School. It is universally conceded, that he was one of the best students, who ever graduated from Delevan High School. Although he has been in medical school less than year, he was recognized by both professors and classmates as the best student in the freshman class. He was a young man of sterling integrity, one whom it was a pleasure and an inspiration to know. Possessed of a strong mind and a great desire for knowledge, he applied himself most assidously to his work, never leaving a task, until he had thoroughly mastered it. What achievements might have been his had his life been spared, we shall never know, but we can truthfully say, that there was every prospect of a brilliant future for him. Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Max D. The family has the sincere sympathy of the entire community. The regard in which the deceased was held was evidenced in many ways, particularly by the great profusion of beautiful flowers. The funeral services were held from the family residence, Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Thomas Browne, assisted by Rev. D. C. Irwin. Fourteen members of his class in the University were present at the funeral"
