She was kidnapped by Indians, her parents killed but they took her. There is some about her on Net and a book that the author personally interviewd her and wrote what she said. She has a statue of her in NY , Cattargus? Indian in book. I saw one for sale at Higginsonbooks.com. I had read it from a city library years ago.I did find one to buy written in novel form from Clear Light Publishers. Their address is Clear Right Publishers, 823 Don Diego, Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have seen the statue etc on net. Search Mary Jemison , White woman of the Genesee. That is a county in New York. I have seen queries on this board. I researched her to see if my Jemison family was kin, They were not. Yours is the first message I have seen that makes me think you are possibly a descendant. You know how it is, everyone wants to be kin to a very famous person so watch for fraudulent genealogies. My Jemisons land! ed in PA then the regular immigration route thru GA and on to Alabama.
