Many of you probably already know there is now a site called RootsTelevision.......I am having a little trouble figuring out who is actually "running the show" other than it is based in Provo, Utah and appears to have LDS connections. I found a few of the video clips were excellent. If you live in a family that is perplexed by your passion for family history, the video entitled "Ancestors - Records at Risk" (six clips), which is very well done (PBS style), may help your family develop an inkling of what family history is about as well as a commitment to preserving the records that tell the story of your family. (these clips are under the tab Ancestors Season Two). Take a look and see what you think. If nothing else, maybe it will trigger your parent or grandparent to begin to tell his or her own story. http://www.rootstelevision.com/index.html A reaction I often I hear from others about those devoted to preserving family history is that it is an "egocentric" endeavor. Please remind them that gathering our family history is not about holding on to the past, it is about explaining the present. Laura Laura Greene Carlsbad, CA
