I've "rescued" an old photograph of Fred & Minnie WHEELER of Salamanca, New York. The photograph was probably taken in the 1870's with the children appearing to be 6-10 years old at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I believe that they are the children of Alexander WHEELER and Maria FURMAN. Fred WHEELER was b. 8 Mar 1867 in Steamburg, NY and died 20 Mar 1915 and Minnie WHEELER was b. 6 Oct 1868 in Steamburg, NY and married John H. CHAMPLIN on 4 Feb 1896 in Randolph, NY. The family can be traced through the census records as follows: 1870 census of Cold Springs, NY: Alexander WHEELER, age 37, a Railroad Engineer, born NY Maria S.
