(Long time to probate--maybe looking for all the relatives....) .. "To the surrogate of the County of Cattaraugus The Petition of Martha S. Harlin of the town of Ellicottville in the county of Cattaraugus respectfully showeth That David GREGORY late of the Town of Ellicottville, in the said County of Catteraugus deceased, died in the said town of Ellicottville on or about the 27th of NOVEMBER, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty [three]. Being at that time an inhabitant of the County of Cattaraugus that he died, leaving a last Will and Testament which is now produced in the Surrogate's Court of the said County of Cattaraugus before the said Surrogate, which bears date the 28th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one and by which said last Will and Testament the said deceased nominated and appointed William H. Wood of Chicago Illinois executor thereof: that the said deceased died possessed of Real and personal estate in the said county of Cattaraugus and that the following named persons are all the heirs at law and next of kin of said deceased, and their respective ages and places of resident are as follows, viz: Mrs. Ira Couch, Chicago Ill, Fremont House Mrs. William H. Wood, Chicago Ill, 41 Dearborn St. David V. Gregory, Randolph County, Sparta, Illinois Alonzo A. Gregory, Ann Arbor, Michgian and your petitioner all of full age and Clare M. Gregory of full age Ann Arbor Michigan and Edgar W. Gregory aged about sixteen years residing at Detroit, Mich-- and Mrs. Edgar M. Gregory widow of Edgar M. Gregory, deceased of full age and residing at -- That Lucy Gregory, widow of the said David Gregory, lately deceased . That your petitiioner is a legatee under said will. Your petitioner further showeth, that she is desirous of having the said Will admitted to probate, and of having Letters Testamentary granted thereon, and also of having the said Will proved and recorded according to law as a Will of personal Read Estate; and therefore prays that the same may be proved and recorded as aforesaid, and that all such process and proceeding may be had and taken thereon for that purpose, as are just and proper, and as the law may require.
