    3. Yes buuuuut--- They also take all the data we've spent time and money to surch out and place in our trees and sell it though there company-- just see world tree-- it should be free!!!!!!! we did the work we share it for free. now why should we have to pay for it? lets start a new world tree for free! ed jr Been with Ancestry for sooooo long. Subject: Re: [NYCATTAR] Ancestry.com changes - my four-bits worth..... I've followed, with interest, the discussion of Ancestry and would make the following suggestion. How much would it cost you to spend hotel nights, travel expenses, etc. to locate some of the many things you can find on Ancestry? I justify the dollars I spend by thinking about what it would cost to travel to the site(s) to access the records I need. Some years I need lots and other years I need nothing so I don't subscribe. Some years I need foreign data and other years only what's in the US. I started doing this long before computerized data was available and have spent an incredible amount on this hobby (it would scare me to death had I ever kept track of those expenses!), so I recognize the fantastic tools with which we now have to work, but we really shouldn't expect to get something for nothing. If we don't like the way a company operates we don't need to use it, or we can encourage them to change, but seems to me we don't need to go to war over such trivial details!
