I have been looking at many Rice lines and so far have determined who they are not. I am interested in your Rice line and also the Woolley line since the Woolley landed in Floyd Co. Iowa along with our Andrew Rice in addition to Norman Rice, but I can find no connection so far. It seems that from NY or VT to all end up in Floyd, IA is a bit more than a coinsendent. Can you share some of your information with me? Thanks
If any of you subscribe to Ancestry.com, and are finding you no longer have access to certain records in your subscription you were told you would have when you bought it (new or otherwise), could you please let us know? For those of us with the US Deluxe subscription that allows access to any records of US residents, we no longer have access to many new US records being added. They are now requiring an upgrade to World Deluxe (for a whopping yearly $347!)for many new US records that subscribers were told they would be able to access within the US Deluxe subscription. You can also post your concerns about this at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=topics.ancestry.ancsite If you have the "old" US Records Collection subscription - your access is being even more curtailed from what I'm hearing from others. Laura
Hi, Laura, Is the US Deluxe subscription the one that I paid something under $200 for? Is it the newspapers that are being added that they aren't letting us use? I haven't tried any of those. They sure seem to be getting greedy, don't they? Joann - Yes - that is the US Deluxe subscription. And Ancestry specifically stated that any databases added that speak to US residents would be available in that subscription, including databases of immigrants to America. However, if you click on any of the new US databases, you'll find you are now required to upgrade to World Deluxe. The following is a list of new databases US Deluxe subscribers cannot access that are US based. Wow! They're probably figuring that since the people are coming from somewhere else, that they aren't US records. Not too helpful. Do you suppose if enough people complain it would make any difference? The next thing we know they'll probably shut off the shiplists.
