Nelson Butler. They are on the 1880 census in Machias, Catt. Co. with daughter Viola Butler & other children. On this 1880 record Emma Butler is age 26, hence born about 1854. The 1860 census I sent has Emma J. COLF, age 6 living with Erastus & Hannah COLF, who are very probably her parents. The 1850 shows Erastus & Hannah before they had children, as well as a John D who may be Erastus brother & John & Eda (probably actually Edna) COLF on the following page who may be Erastus parents.
