Surnames: Cook Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RRB.2ACE/7550 Message Board Post: Looking for any information on Justin Cook, who was found on the 1830 & 1835 Hinsdale, Cattauragus Co. census. He was deceased by Nov. 1846, location unknown. I was unable to locate him on the 1840 census. His children came to Lee Co., IA between 1835 & 1840. He was on the Allegany Co. NY census at Friendship in 1820. A site on Allegany Co. stated he came "from the eastern part of the state" about 1812. According to census info, he was born between 1790 and 1800. His oldest known child was born in 1816, so marriage would be before that date. His wife, name unknown was alive in 1835 but deceased by 1846. Any clue would be appreciated.
