I have a Beebe Family from Cattaraugus County...Stephen ( son of Lyman Clark) and Sarah Badman Beebe and their children. I beleive there were two other Beebe families in the county in the 1800s. They are all related. Do you have Lathrop Beebe ( m. Abigail Eleanor Alger) -this the line of another cousin. There are LOTS of Beebes in Freedom, Elton, Delevan, Sandusky and the surrounding area... you should see the cemeteries! Our Beebe lines stayed in Paris and there is little in documentation other than census. The way we figure it, the Beebe, Hancock, Alger and Brown families moved across to the Rochester area (lots in W. Bethany) and then south to Boston Erie County and to Cattaraugus between 1820 and 1840. Our Browns ( and the other related families - those 4 are my husban's 3rd g-grandparents) were in Elton 1820 +/- 5 years and the Hancocks in Yorkshire by 1830 ( on two sides of the town line).
