I knew the little information I did have (from living relatives) had to be wrong. The dates never made sense. But how do you question what your family has always believed to be true? I've been looking for George Kellington for the past 12 years! I made several trips to Olean, NY just to look through dusty old record books. I was thrilled when my daughter went to school in DC. I spent as much time at the National Archives as I did with her! (I was also searching other ancestors) There were so many Kellingtons to look through that I just ignored other spellings.
