Author: cbarber32 Surnames: Phillips/Philips/Laferty Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.cattaraugus/10494/mb.ashx Message Board Post: HI Folks Am looking for someone from the Phillips/Philips clan who might be able to tell me the ancestry of FRANCIS PHILIPS b. abt 1798 In NY. 1840 Census shows them living near some of the Lafferty family that I'm researching. 1850 shows him a resident of Machias, 52 years old, with sons James age 11, and Elias age 9. Wife Barbara is 56 years old, also born in NY. I think this may be another of the children of an unknown male Phillips, possibly Daniel, and his wife Hannah Phillips ( maiden name unknown) who at one time lived in Tioga, PA. If anyone has any info at all please contact me at [email protected] I dont find them anywhere in NY after 1850, and am curious as to where they might have gone, or if they died? Thanks!
