I am even more perplexed because in the 1860 census I believe, It shows Alexander and Celestia with their daughters Jane, Ellen, Ann... and then another Ellen two years older than the first Ellen. Which I had thought maybe she was a widow of an older son. But I can find absolutely no evidence of such a thing and by 1880, she as well as the other girls are gone. Do you by any chance have a copy of Alexander's obituary? I am researching the line going down through Sarah Maria(h) who married Hugh Morton. Thanks for such a quick response.
