There's another thing worth mentioning about these ads. Although I don't know if it's true in this case, I know scores of websites covering a variety of subjects that accept this type advertising as a method of keeping their content free. Neither websites nor maintaining them come without cost. Whenever someone clicks on one of those ads, the website gets paid some set amount. I'm all for free content. And if I have to click on ad ot two every now and again I certainly have no problems with that. Bill Hart On Wed, 2009-11-04 at 23:58 -0700, W. Bill I am perturbed by this especially when the ad comes in the guise of a subscriber to anylist@rootsweb.com there is no need to have this garbage and as I told Mr. Samualsen his email usually ends of with costing someone some money to get his information. This is what sampubco is all about. It is his business to sell information. I have banned him from my admin lists and I have blocked him from contacting me personally. I also warn folks who write me asking for info which is generally free if they ask for how to find it.
