Online "rumor" has it that there may be a Bible somewhere that gives her name as "Elvira" vs. "Priscilla". It was last known to be owned by a J.W. Nelson (now deceased) who had sons, Craig Andrew & James Allen Nelson (res.unk). ----------------------- Elvira Priscilla BOVEE was born in Barnet, VT about 1809, married John Nelson, a native of Scotland who came to the US at the age of nineteen. John was a farmer by trade and lived in the states of Vermont and New York. Their son, Frederick Nelson, was also a farmer and moved to Iowa in 1869.
