    1. [NYCATTAR] BIGELOW Family Marriage Certificate
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an original marriage certificate originally belonging to J. Arlington BIGELOW and his bride, Sara PHILLIPS who were married in Chicago, Illinois on 21 June 1892. The wedding was officiated by Wm. M. LAWRENCE, Pastor of the 2nd Baptist Church of Chicago. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the couple and their families as follows: John Arlington BIGELOW b. 25 Dec 1862 in Freeport, IL to parents John Arlington BIGELOW (b. 16 Oct 1828 in Ashford, NY) and Ellen LOVELAND (b. 12 Feb 1891 in Chicago, IL). The couple had 6 children including, Rudolph Adelbert; Eloise; William Jerald; Cora; John Arlington; and Ida May BIGELOW all born in Freeport, IL between 1854 and 1864. John married Sarah J. PHILLIPS. Census records provide the following: 1880 census of Chicago, IL: Thomas PHILLIPS, age 40, born England, a House Mover, parents born England Kate PHILLIPS, wife, age 32, born ME, at Home, parents born ME Mary PHILLIPS, dau, age 15, born Chicago, at Home Elizabeth PHILLIPS, dau, age 12, born Chicago Sarah PHILLIPS, dau, age 9, born Chicago Etta PHILLIPS, dau, age 7, born Chicago Ida PHILLIPS, dau, age 3, born Chicago Addie PHILLIPS, dau, age 3, born Chicago Cora PHILLIPS, dau, age 2, born Chicago Corrie BOYNTON, sister, age 23, born Chicago, parents born ME I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the marriage certificate can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
