You mention a Prior ancestor. I have one, too, sort of. My gr-gr-grandfather James Hawley Fuller married Eleanor Stowell. Eleanor's mother's name was Hannah Pryer, however, I have seen it spelled as Prior. As far as I know, and that's not far, she was from Allegany County. I wonder if there's a connection there, too?
