I have found a source that says my ancestor (Julia Ferrow/Fero) is in the 1860 census for Hinsdale, Cattaraugus, NY on page 48, family # 391. I have looked in ancestry.com but the page is so light most names are not legible. Does anyone have a record of this page and could tell me the names of the family (the Father's first name is visible as John age, 37), ages and birthplaces, etc. Thanks. -- Terry J. According to Ancestry.com index, the last name is Ferone. Looking at it on Heritage Quest, I don't read it like that, but am not sure what it could be. John is age 37, Caroline is age 24, John is age 8, Mary J. is age 6 and Julia is age 4. They were all born in NY. I can't read what his occupation is either. Try to find them in 1870?
