I have information on the Nancy Clark married to John Frederick Goo. I just came back from a trip to Freeport IL where I photographed headstones of Nancy Clark Goo and some of her children. Nancy Clark was the sister of my 3g grandmother Saloma Clark Polley Larabee. I always thought Nancy's married name was Gould or Goold as that is how she is listed in the 1850 and 1860 census records. But then I found the gravestones marked as Goo. An Eliza Goo was listed as living with her cousin George Warren Clark in Freeport around 1900 or 1910. I would like to exchange info on the Goo family and the Clarks with you. BTW, the name Rosina was in at least three generations of the family. I did a marriage certificate search for Clara Schuman in Allegheny Township. I mentioned that her parents name were Anthony and Margaret. They came up with one (they wouldn't tell me who the grooms name was..they just said they found a match, although it was 10 years off) I figured I get a copy anyhow (it was only $10) anyways, The information on this indicates a man by the name of Clarence G. Dieterman as the groom. The date of the license was 1919. The bride reported that this was her first marriage, never widowed, nor divorced. I believe the Claras below and the Clara from my search are one in the same, but not the one I'm looking for. I've never heard my Clara associated with the Dieterman name: Received my reply from Allegheny today on the marriage certificate for this Clara Schuman (parents Anthony and Margaret). The grooms name was Clarence G. Dieterman (never heard of him) her parents were Anthony and Margaret, Clara reports this was her first marriage, she was neither widowed or divorced. The certificate was issued in 1919, she was 28, he was 26. I think this rules out that this Clara is the future Clara Bates. My Clara had an 8 year old child by this time..thus I believe it might eliminate these two Claras: Servant Clara?: Clara Schuman in 1910 in Olean Ward 5, Cattaraugus, NY in the household of a Peter Hoffman Peter Hoffman 26 Ger Ger GER Florence 23 GER GER GER Francis son 3 NY GER GER Elenoar 2 Regian 3.12 Clara Schuman servant 19 NY GER NY (not PA b c 1891) Frank Rayaserva brother in law 20 At Home Clara?: Also in 1910 in Allegheny NY -I wonder if she was counted twice. 1900 Cattaragus/Allegany/District 32 Anthony Schuman feb 1859 GERM GER GER Margaret March 1860 NY GER GER Katherine March 1883 NY GER NY Agnes March 1898 Clara Nov 1891 Margrett Oct 1896 I still have the search results coming from PA for a birth certificate for Arthur.
