    1. [NYCATTAR] MILLER/PRATT/RHODY (RODEY)
    2. Sandra Luss
    3. I am trying to connect with descendents of William and Mary (Marie) HEITMAN MILLER. The family had moved from Elma, Erie Co., NY and was living in Olean by 1920. They had sons Robert and Dewey MILLER and daughters Leora MILLER RODEY/RHODY (husband James) and Helen MILLER PRATT (husband William). I believe they also had a daughter Marie. By the 1930 census William is dead and two granddaughters (Dorothy & Jean RHODY) are living with Mary. Possibly Leora & James RHODY also died between 1920 and 1930. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. Sandy

They were my maternal great great grandparents. This summer while returning to Ohio, I stopped in South Valley and located several Laughlins in the cemetery including Rose McGinnis Laughlin. Per my family information, Leo Laughlins' grandfather, Barnard and my James were brothers. Would love to share more information with you. While reviewing the 1880 NY census for South Valley on ancestry.com, I found my James and Anna, their children Joseph, Davie, Margaret, James (my great grandfather), Christopher and Henry living with a Frank Colwell and Kate Ferrin -- do you know how these people relate to the Laughlins? Would love to share information with you. Please email me directly. Mary

I do have information and without opening the records and checking for sure tonight - I also recognize the Murphy, Laughlin and Colwell names. I have been in touch with a Colwell who lives nearby - always saying I would go over and visit instead of just phone chatting - maybe now I will do that!! We are related to the Gribbin's via John Woods who is my great-grandfather. I have also been in touch with two Gribbin cousins. E-mail me!! Mary

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GRAY, LUDDEN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RRB.2ACE/6008 Message Board Post: I would appreciate any information about a possible first wife for Solomon Gray. He was born ca 1792 in Massachusetts. When he was living in Truxton, Cortland Co., NY he signed an Revolutionary War Pension affidavit for my ancestor, Enos Ludden, who was living in nearby Onondaga County, NY. In the Affidavit dated 1832, Solomon stated he had known Enos for more than 20 years, beginning when they lived in Hampshire Co., MA. By 1840 both Solomon and Enos had moved to Cattaraugus Co., NY. I found Solomon in the 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1865 census records in Perrysburg. His wife in the latter records was named Lucy born in CT. Since the two families lived in the same places, I am wondering if perhaps Solomon could have had a first wife, daughter of Enos, named Sarah Ludden, b: ca 1793 MA. Thanks for any help. kwaller@frontiernet.net
