That one-line notation is in the Arnold Family Reunion papers written the first Sunday of August 1950. However, I haven't made a connection between them and the surname Arnold. These Arnold would've been descended from Rev. Thomas & Rebecca (LaDow) Arnold. Thansk. /s/ Sally Chase

Canfield or Beckwith? I am researching Canfield's and may have info to share. I am also curious why my Canfield grandmother (Alice of Lucas Co., Iowa) was so dark, with black eyes, as was all of her children when other's in the family were light blue eyed. Since this family goes back to 1640 in America, it is a possibility that there was some indian blood in there. Who knows -- but I am keeping my eyes and ears open for that possibility -- Sandy

Hello, I do plan on sending this to several list. Andrew M. PHILLIPS(1858-1911) and Sabra SMITH(1861-1939) I'm looking for descendants of Andrew M. PHILLIPS (1858-1911) who was born in Yorkshire, Cattaraugus, NY and his wife Sabra SMITH (1861-1939) who was born in Ashford, Cattaraugus, NY . I have good reason to believe they are the parents of Lee M. PHILLIPS who was born in Ashford, Cattaraugus, NY on 24 JAN 1881 and died 07 Nov 1947 and is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Ashford, Cattaraugus, NY. There are a few other Phillips buried at this cemetery and I wonder how they, if they do, connect to this line. Thanks to a web page I found this morning, http://www.rootsweb.com/~nycattar/cemetery/mthopen-z.htm Mount Hope Cemetery Surnames "N - Z" Located on corner of Rte 240 and Rosick Hill Rd, in Ashford, NY This information was provided by Dean Williams and John A Pfeffer. The info fits quite nicely, but I would like to verify the info hopefully with census and vital records. Mr. Williams I would sure like to know your source info for these folks. Thank you for your efforts in putting this info on-line. Can someone do a look-up in a PA census index for 1900 and 1910 for Andrew M. PHILLIPS? I believe my library has PA census, but no book index. I would appreciate it very much. Helen Currie Davis Millington, TN ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! I don't believe "my" Frank and "your" Frank are the same person, however, I'm wondering if you might know if your Frank had a son with the same name, also two daughters, Nora and Mabel. My Frank is first found in the 1880 census in Southport, Schuyler County, NY living as the 8 year old "adopted son" of Robert and Bridget Patterson. With Southport being basically a part of Elmira, I wonder if these two people are related. I'll be happy to provide more details. Thanks for anything you can tell me!!
