My grandfather was a NY state trooper shortly after 1917 - I have a photograph of his graduating group -so possibly Leonard helped train him. If you'd like a copy of the photo, let me know - maybe Leonard Parish is in the photo? (It may take me a while to find it!)

I am trying to gather info for writing a book about him and the many adventures that he had. He was involved with a group of men that was formed by a retired Texas Ranger back about 1885. My Great Grandfather became involved with this group sometime after 1890 on his return from the western frontier. They answerd only to the Govenor of New York State of course the State claims they never exsisted because they were illeagle as hell. He also help train the first company of New York State Troopers in 1917. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
