    1. [NYCATTAR] Cattaraugus county researcher - excellent
    2. Laura Greene
    3. Re: Brenda's postings with a recommendation for a researcher in Cattaraugus county: I too have used this researcher's services, and have nothing but positive things to say about her professionalism, integrity, rapid response, incredibly reasonable pricing, and absolute dedication to going the extra mile for her clients. I have to agree with Brenda and would wholeheartedly recommend this researcher without any hestitation. She has helped me a great deal, and I am very appreciative of her efforts. In keeping with Rootsweb's policy of no advertising, we cannot name her in this public forum, but I am sure many of her happy clients are willing to pass her name along via private email. 2. Fred/Maryann Root
    3. Hello, Steve... Glad you replied. You're the only person I've found so far that has a distant relationship to this family. Unusual, because it was so large. In my research here in Kalamazoo, MI, I've tracked 6 Glover siblings, including William. I have interesting old newspaper accounts of nearly all of them. One of the brothers that came to Kalamazoo was John G. Glover. I've been to the cemetery where he's buried, with his first wife Eunice Archibald, who I think also came from Cattaraugus county with their family. They had 8 children that I can find record of. Eunice died in Kalamazoo in 1853 & John Glover married Delia Budd, also from NY state. Both wives are buried with him in Kalamazoo, with assorted children. All the Glovers were fairly prominent settlers of early Kalamazoo, in some type of business trade. Yes, I'm very willing to share what information I have about the Glover siblings. My spam blocker is set very high, so you'll receive a warning message the first time you send email directly to me. I'll take care of that when I hear from you. Thanks so much for your reply. I see you've made a connection between Charlotte and her brother Henry. With your help we now have 6 siblings of Ezra and Annie Glover (Cook). In the 1820 US Census from Easton, Washington County, New York, it lists an Ezra Glover with a family of 14. Now, he could have had a brother or sister's family living with him, but let's assume not. So, 14 - 2 = 12. So in 1820, there were 12 siblings. Add at least one more, William, who was born after 1820 and we arrive at 13. So since we know of 6, there are at least 7 more siblings to find. There must have been another girl that married an Aldrich, since William Aldrich was Charlotte's nephew. Do you have an email address where I can contact you directly? If you don't want to give it out here, I'll give you mine and we can converse that way. Steve Iverson

According to her sworn application for her husband's Revolutionary War Pension, she married John PHILLIPS before 1794. She couldn't remember the year, month or day. To the best of my knowledge John was the son of Volkert/Vulkert PHILLIPS and Mary McDONALD. According to the appliation, her maiden name was RUSSELL and she had thirteen children. They moved from Montgomery County to Schoharry [sic] County, where John died. After his death, she moved to Steuben County; then to Pennsylvania; then to Odgen, Monroe County; then to Sheldon, Wyoming County and finally to Machias, Cattaraugus County. This is about all of Hannah's information that I have. I haven't worked on this like in several years. Nancy Burgett Boone

Specifically, I'm trying to figure out the lineage of Chester and Charlotte Bunce (they had a daughter Lucy Ann). It appears Chester served in the NY militia (War of 1812) with a "Simon Bunce" who also came to Ohio very early. Since they settled so close, I would assume they're related - brothers perhaps. Do you have anything on Chester and Charlotte Bunce?
