Yes. I am familiar with William Lawlor Leier. He is not part of my Leier family. Lillie was cremated and her cremains are interred at Fresh Pond Crematory in Queens. When I learned of William's death date, I contacted them but they had no record of him. I tried to obtain the 1957 death certificate, but they wouldn't give it to me because I wasn't a direct descendent. The obituary would probably have cleared it all up. But, now that you have pointed out to me that the death index record is not that of my William Leier (he was 80 when he died in 1957, therefore born 1877 - my William Leier was born 1886), I am now back to square one (or zero).
