    1. [NYC-ROOTS] NEWS RE: NYC-L List
    2. MizScarlettNY
    3. Dear Friends on NYC List. I am delighted to tell you that I'm the new list administrator for the NYC-L list. Wooooo Wooooooo This is THE list that I've wanted to moderate forever! So...please bear with me as I re-learn Ancestry's behind-the-scenes system. (I once moderated NY-Orphanages.) Rootsweb describes our NYC-L as focusing on "New York City, New York" which infers Manhattan only. Although Manhattan is our priority, posts regarding all of NYC are always welcome. Folks, I'm calling a REBOOT here...with me personally as well as this NYC list. In it's heyday there were about 250 posts per day. I'm asking you to help me juice it up, get that adult grandchild to sign up, and hit "Reply to All" and chime in. PLEASE! Each of you makes the list significant. Without your input, it's nothing. So, let's do it! We need YOU!!! Please spread the word: We're back and better than ever. My game plan is to write a weekly how-to column geared to newbies, and a brush-up for you seasoned researchers. That song from The Sound of Music comes to mind, with my adaptations. Meanwhile, keeping posting your questions and responses. Let's start at the very beginning A very good place to start When you start you begin with BMD When you search you begin with Ancestry. Please spread the word and have friends register for the NYC list here.>>> https://mailinglists.rootsweb.com/listindexes/search/NYC-ROOTS Onward and upward, Folks. Let's show 'em what we got. Remember: No flaming, personal attacks, or advertising. Let's GO! Barb in NEW YAWK.....
