I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard spot. I've been researching my paternal "paper trail" leading me to Curragh, Mahoonagh Parish, Co Limerick, IRE ... after my twin brother and I did DNA tests we found out we are NOT of the "historical McCarthy clans" and we are genetically attached to MACKENZIE, LESLIE, PAUL, SEARLE .... none I've seen attached to my father's lineage back to 1800 where I have them, Eugene "Owen" McCARTHY and Johanna "Anna" GRIFFIN baptizing their twin sons, David and Denis 1813. I can't seem to locate any information on Eugene "Owen" McCARTHY and Johanna "Anna" GRIFFIN outside of the parish registers. My GEDmatch T342439 My twin brother's T660871 Y-DNA37 indicates haplogroup R-A14 My Male Y-DNA Haplogroup (Long version); R->M173->M343->L754->L389->P297->M269->L23->L51->L151->P312->Z290->L21->DF13->ZZ10_1->Z253->Z2534->ZZ5_1->A16->BY10->A14 WE do NOT match with many on these groups WE would like to know "Where to from here?"
