    3. How do I contact the owner/originator of a family tree on Ancestry? Now that they are all public and with the new version of Ancestry, I can't figure out how to contact whoever created the tree. I have found a tree with a common LEBRECHT ancestor and would love to contact the owner. I have some information that he or she does not. Lisa

    3. Ancestry trees are NOT all public now.  They still have the private tree option, which I use. But you can contact anyone, even a private tree owner.  Click on the tree owner's name. It will take you to their profile and a 'contact me' button.  Neither of you will see each other's real name or email unless you choose to share it.  I always get to know someone before sharing that but have exchanged lots of great info with distant cousins from around the world--much fun and some amazing discoveries.Virginia From: Lisa Thompson via <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, November 28, 2015 10:03 AM Subject: [NYC-ROOTS] Family Trees on Ancestry How do I contact the owner/originator of a family tree on Ancestry?
