    3. Thanks, Bobbi, These are of course the same records available from LDS that we used to rent on film and read at a local Family History Center (still available). And although all the records on line are not yet searchable, many if not most of the books have indexes at the back or front of the volumes. So you can pull up the record, check the index, and go to whatever page you want without having to click all the way through the volume. We found a great deal on our Wilkins family in the 1810 time frame by doing this. The main thing with genealogy is to keep poking and looking, then reviewing what you found and thinking about it. Things are MUCH easier than in 1986 when I began and there was no Internet. I combined renting films with traveling to the areas and still find new information that way as well as the new techniques of Internet surfing and DNA analysis.
