Hello, I am helping a friend who has limited information about her parents and no information about her grandparents and beyond. Her father, Patrick Joseph Mundy/Munday was born in Co. Donegal, Ireland and he arrived in NYC in 1926. He married Nora Sullivan (born in Co. Kerry, Ireland). Patrick’s SS-5 (signed 11/28/1936) shows his DOB as 1/1/1905; parents Terence Mundy and Alice (Kerrigan) Mundy; living at 292 Cypress Ave in the Bronx; working at Tishman Realty Company located at 136 East 57th Street in NYC. The 1940 Census shows Patrick, Nora and Alice (age 3) Mundy living at 307 83rd Street in Manhattan. Based on the SS-5 info, I believe that I have found Patrick’s family in the 1901 and 1911 Ireland Census but am hoping to access other U.S. documents to support this possible connection. I have not been able to locate a NYC marriage certificate for Patrick Mundy and Nora Sullivan (believed to have married around 1936 and were Roman Catholic). Are the groom and bride indices at IGG/GGG complete or should I order microfilmed indices from Family Search? Any other suggestions on confirming Patrick’s parents’ names and finding out who Nora’s parents were? Thanks for any help. Bill

Yes, that is him. I have a copy of his SS-5 and that gave me his parents' names, including his mother's maiden name.
