Sharon, Try NYC Municipal Archives: http://www.nyc.gov/html/records/html/archives/collections_courtrecords.shtml I once found an uncle's record at Muni Archives (31 Chambers St.) from the 1910's regarding his being sent to Sing Sing prison.
