I haven not gotten that far yet Barb--but I do intend to find out...I know somewhere in my travels yesterday on the old version I ran into a way to contact corporate but did not look at that link. This morning I discovered that they have info on LIVING PEOPLE listed. On my mothers page (who is deceased) they have made a note in her file for every time she had a child so they are listing on a PUBLIC PAGE of a deceased person, not only the names of the living children but their exact birth dates. ID thieves will have a field day with that once they figure that out! I did find a feedback forum this AM and I left a scathing review there, recommend others do the same...BUT unless they hear from us in very large numbers I would not expect anything to change. Right now you have the ability to go back to the "Classic Ancestry" but when you switch back to classic you see a note that says pretty soon the New Ancestry will be the ONLY option... I wonder if they are trying to keep people from having large trees and they are trying to save space on their servers...you cannot find folks in a large tree the way they have it set up...and the tree view is awful only showing 1 generation at a time. The ONLY thing I have found so far to leave feedback is the suggestions link http://www.ancestry.com/suggestions I used the General feedback <https://ancestry.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bEi2G4scYqbsntP&ucdmid=005f7a38-0003-0000-0000-000000000000> but there are several other options that would fit the bill. Site navigation <http://ancestry.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_5nX2T2C4tFV0NE1&ucdmid=005f7a38-0003-0000-0000-000000000000> might be another place to put your remarks as they certainly have messed that us also. I'll do some digging to try to get a corp address...This is worse than what they did the the Ellis Island site BUT it has the same look and lack of function--I wonder if it was designed by the same people? Someone commented re having to do with the fact the site is up for sale...I thought about that...making it "modern and techy" looking...It is quite clear that nobody involved in this had a clue about research and all the things that were added to the "Classic Ancestry" over the years to improve functionality. They have set the site back 10 years and unless they hear from a LOT of us that is the way it will stay...so if ever there was a time to use networking to get everyone you know informed and also to get them to complain, we may be stuck with this mess, which makes a LOT of things just too cumbersome. When you look at a person's page, the Census data is off to the side as are the directories...over the years I have painstakingly copied the addresses I found in directories each time I attached one so I could follow their movements easily in their timeline...That is now ALL GONE...You virtually get NOTHING in their timeline except when their parents died and when their kids or born...for any other info on them you have to poke around in various places And of course FEEDBACK has a limited # of characters you can use in your "suggestion" so one cannot even tell them everything that is wrong with the site. I was on the news site for about 30-45 min trying to understand how it was set up--but when I tried to search for a new person that had a lot more stories etc so I could see what that looked like the search function did not work. I am worried that is I switch back to new version again that at some point I might not be able to get back to the old version but I am going to have my work cut out for me making stories for descendancy for everyone I possibly can as that function is gone too...while you automatically see your relationship to someone, you can no longer see the lines that got you there This is 10 x worse than Ellis Island--at least that only affected one small portion of documents...THIS affects your entire tree. Finding a way to get them to listen is going to be difficult as many people are not even going to realize this new version exists until one day they sign on and are in this strange new site... I suggest we all network as much as possible and get as many people to file complaints as possible...
