Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction. I have managed to put together a Time Line for James McCullough Cunningham based on online records. James was my husband's uncle and we would dearly like to know where he is buried. 1908 16th July James born Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland 1911 Census of Crobane, County Down, Northern Ireland 1929 28th Sep James leave for New York aboard SS Transylvania - have passenger list 1929 6th Oct Certificate of Arrival 1930 8th April Appears on the 1930 Federal Census living at 77 W 118th Street 1936 24th Nov Applies for a Social Security Number living at 2032 5th Avenue give his place of work as Union Dime Savings Bank cnr of 6th Ave and 40th St Social Security Number 092-05-0614 have copy of application so know I have correct number. 1937 11th Jan Applies for Naturalisation Petition number 276155 1938 Letter home where he is staying with his Aunt and cousins (HENDREN) in Brooklyn 1941 Land transfer deed for land in Northern Ireland where it shows his address as 240 East 24th St Not sure if he served in the military during WWII..have a possible military record but can't definitely assign it to my James. 1972 James dies according to the SSDI records for 092-05-0614..but all it gives is New York (no suburb or county) and date as Oct 1972. Don't know if he ever married, lost touch with his family in Northern Ireland after signing land deed in 1941. Sad thing is his mother was still alive in 1972 and she didn't know he had died. Now if you have taken the time to read this saga, thank you very much. Any ideas of how I can find out where he was living at his time of death so I can apply to the correct place for a copy of his death certificate? I added all know addresses as it appears he stuck around the mid-town region..please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm in New Zealand and don't know NY at all. Hoping someone can help. Cheers from a very chilly and overcast Wellington NZ Kate Cunningham
