I'm looking for some educated guesses. I'm searching the 1855 census for a shoe manufacturer; he probably lived on Duane Street in 1854. He turns up in Brooklyn in 1859 &1860. To date I have searched Manhattan Wards 1-8 plus 10 &14 without success. This fellow appears to have been successful because he kept his business in Manhattan and moved his home to Brooklyn. Does anyone have an educated guess as to where his 1855 home might have been? Checking all these films is getting expensive not to mention time consuming. I have already looked at all the Brooklyn Wards surrounding his 1859 address. I suppose I'll need to look at Manhattan Wards 13, 9, 15, 17 and 11 next. Which one should I choose first? Thanks. L
