I need to know where in Manhattan this man might live. Surely someone on this list is familiar with Manhattan migration patterns of successful businessmen. L
Lamont, you may want to try a free week trial at footnote.com. They have New York City Directories there and you may find some relatives. In general, my relatives seemed to move from Lower Manhattan "uptown" on the west side by the 1850's. I encourage you to share a name.
