Dear Jackie, Here is a listing of orphanages and instituitions in Staten Island according to their enumeration districts in the 1930 federal census, from the Brooklyn homepage>>> http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Census/1930/1930.ED.Richmond.Orphan.html For those seeking institution listings in 1930, in various counties, see the bottom of this page, a page dedicated to orphanages and institutions>>> http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Orphan/index.html Barb NYC Researcher
If Norman was already in the Navy in 1930 this is still good info. If Richmond County did a 1925 scensus AND if these districts didn't change, you could search the 1925 census for your Norman. They are probablyy available on film.. ----- Original Message ----- From: <MizScarlettNY@aol.com> To: <nyc-roots@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2010 6:09 AM Subject: Re: [NYC-ROOTS] Norman Buhl & orphanages > Dear Jackie, > > Here is a listing of orphanages and instituitions in Staten Island > according to their enumeration districts in the 1930 federal census, from > the > Brooklyn homepage>>> > > http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Census/1930/1930.ED.Richmond.Orphan.html > > > For those seeking institution listings in 1930, in various counties, see > the bottom of this page, a page dedicated to orphanages and > institutions>>> > > http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Orphan/index.html > > Barb > NYC Researcher > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > NYC-ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
