Help Needed To: _NYC-ROOTS@rootsweb.com_ (mailto:NYC-ROOTS@rootsweb.com) I'm not sure whether I'm writing to the correct people, but I'm really getting desperate after 12 years. I think my best shot at locating the information I need to further my family research on this person, is now in your hands. (Fingers Crossed!) Byron M. Pickett, Born 1834 and died ???? I have not been able to come up with a date or place of death, yet others have told me he died in 1907. He lived at 22nd Ward, 46th Street in 1880 Census. The last I find this man he is married to a woman named Ella, and they are living at 300 W. 12th Street, presumably in Manhattan. I only have access to NY State Vital Records minus those NY City Vital Records which are on microfilm. I am hoping perhaps someone with a kind heart that has experienced the same type of unknown facts would be my tiny angel and help me out. Byron M. Pickett was a fairly well known artist and sculptor having sculpted a statue of Samuel F. B. Morse which currently is located in Central Park, NY City, another bronze statue named, "Patriotism" which is in Kingston, NY, and at least one if not two Civil War Monuments which are at Gettysburg. This man is my Great Uncle and I hope one day to know where he is buried and perhaps get a photo of his marker. Thank You, Ron Hanley Rochester, NY
