One other thought, Douglas - have you checked GenealogyBank.com to see if there was a contemporary newspaper account of his death? If there is one, it might mention the disposition of his remains. There are Loyalist newspapers on the GB site. Being an officer and a doctor fighting with the British forces, I'm wondering if his remains might have been returned home. Have you checked to see if that was a possibility?
