Was not aware NYC had marriage records prior to 1866 as there web site does not say that. All it says is pre 1930. and they will presumably search: Issuance of certified copy, when certificate number is provided, or search of marriage record, in one year, and in one Borough, for one name and issuance of one certified copy, or "not found" statement $15.00 Where did you get the information they have pre 1866 ?? **************************************************************************** ************* The NYC archives has pre 1866 marriages but they are not indexed. Althought I know the year of the marriage, they will not search without a specific date. Does any one know of any paid researcher or volunteers that I could contact for this? Travelling to NYC is not practical for me.
