    1. [NYC-ROOTS] NYC address in 1901?
    2. See the following and tour the area. _http://www.vpike.com/?place=321+West+35th+Street_ (http://www.vpike.com/?place=321+West+35th+Street) ********************************************************************* I'm wondering if anyone knows of a site where I can find what a building looked like in 1901? I'm looking for information on 321 West 35th Street, assuming it was a boarding house or hotel back then. One of my brick walls, William A Lavelle gave that as his address when arrested for his part in an altercation.

    1. [NYC-ROOTS] Gibbs families of Romania
    2. Lilly Martin
    3. The GIBBS name in Romania, a report by Lilly Martin. The name in USA was spelled as GIBBS, but was probably Gips, Gipps, Ghips in Romania. These were Jewish people, most likely all from Botosani, or Jassy, Romania. Botosani had one of the highest percentages of Jewish people in Europe prior to 1900. A law was passed which denied certain rights to Jewish people there and so the majority of the community left, mostly to USA.
