Kate you might try the Historic NY Times website. Try putting in the address. Sometimes you luck out and find a classified ad that can tell you what the building was like. I have had great luck doing this for some of my NYC residences. --- On Sat, 5/22/10, Kate <chrismomxyz@yahoo.com> wrote: From: Kate <chrismomxyz@yahoo.com> Subject: [NYC-ROOTS] NYC address in 1901? To: nyc-roots@rootsweb.com Date: Saturday, May 22, 2010, 5:35 PM Hi all- I'm wondering if anyone knows of a site where I can find what a building looked like in 1901? I'm looking for information on 321 West 35th Street, assuming it was a boarding house or hotel back then. One of my brick walls, William A Lavelle gave that as his address when arrested for his part in an altercation. thanks!
