This is why you could not find her, transcribed as HARNEY Surname Given Name Age Month Day Year Certificate Number County Soundex Harney Flora 23 y Jan 30 '01 1901 3735 Manhattan H650 good luck, Gabriele From: dennybok@aol.com Sent: Monday, September 06, 2010 12:47 PM To: nyc-roots@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYC-ROOTS] archives look up? she did not marry till 30 SEP 1900 Manhattan, New York, New York How do yu knw she passed in NYC ?? If anyone is going to the Municipal Archives in Manhattan, I would very much appreciate a quick (I hope) look up. A great aunt died 30 January, 1901. I can't find her in the German Genealogy Group index. All I need is the certificate number so I can get a photocopy from the LDS. I went online to the NYC Archives website and it seems that all you can get now is a certified copy, which I don't need. And that's $15.00. Used to be $5.00 for a non-certified copy. Her name may be a bit of a problem. Maiden name: Flora Cohn, born 14 Oct. 1877. She married a man by the name of William L. Harvey and the certificate may be under the name Florence(can't explain that)Harvey or Flora Cohn. She's buried in the family plot next to her parents with the name of Flora Cohn. 30 January 1901. I assume that's the correct date of death. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYC-ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
