Do you have her date of birth and/or the marriage record to your gf ?? If u have a first name and DOB yu should be able to find her. don't know why I didn't think of this before...does anyone know if I could try to get a copy of my grandmother's Social Security application (if she had one) knowing her maiden name, dob and parent's names? She was divorced from my grandfather in 1953 and I have tried to locate her with her maiden name and the name she had when married to my grandfather in the SSDI...and no luck. I have a feeling she remarried (she was only 45 in 1953), but I have hit brickwall after brickwall and many of you have tried to help me find her through SSDI for which I am grateful. I thought if I could try to get a copy of her SS application, I might find her.
