    2. this is an excellent search technique, I agree. Unfortunately, Augustus had died by 1910, and Emeline moved in with her daughter and husband on 7th Ave. So I really have little idea where Augustus and Emeline were from 1880 until 1905. Off to city directories, all of which I have ordered in past from FHC but did not retain all of NYC of course with the expense. Will check a few 1890s dates available on Ancestry. Does anyone have access to 1900 city directory?
