    1. [NYC-ROOTS] Augustus R. Wilkins 1900 census
    2. I have been researching the Wilkins family of NYC for many years and have my research on line at http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=winspeare Up to this point I have been unable to find Augustus (ca. 1843-1905) and his wife Emeline B. Groshon Wilkins (ca. 1850-1924) on the 1900 census. I have not located their youngest son, Jacob R. Wilkins (b. ca. 1878), either and believe he may still have been living at home. These Wilkinses were born and died in Manhattan; and I have found them on every other census, so it is most frustrating to be missing the information from 1900. Believe me, I have used every technique in the book in my search (24 years of experience), but I would be delighted to be "shown up" by any one of you. Augustus was a policeman, and his family had been in New York for many generations. Elizabeth W. Knowlton
